Festival of Weeks — The Holidays of God

Originally aired in 1997, this program takes a look at the Festival of Weeks, or Shavuot. Shavuot is a Jewish holiday to remember the giving of the Law at Mount Sinai. A Festival marking the end of 49 days of trepidation. Then after those 49 days comes Shavuot, a fiftieth day of celebration, a day known in the Christian world as Pentecost. Hosts Mart DeHaan and Jimmy DeYoung take a closer look at this holiday as they compare Jewish and Christian perspectives.
