Originally aired in 1997, this program takes a look at the Festival of Weeks, or Shavuot. Shavuot is a Jewish holiday to remember the giving of the Law at Mount Sinai. A Festival marking the end of 49 days of trepidation. Then after those 49 days comes Shavuot, a fiftieth day of celebration, a day known in the Christian world as Pentecost. Hosts Mart DeHaan and Jimmy DeYoung take a closer look at this holiday as they compare Jewish and Christian perspectives. To watch other programs in this series:The Holidays of God — Overview of Israel’s 7 Holy Days: http://youtu.be/3_R38Hek6kQPassover: http://youtu.be/Wj2F465m83s Unleavened Bread: http://youtu.be/Yj5a-T87WagSpring Feasts: http://youtu.be/XCytW0GmXwsFestival of Trumpets: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xQkmxLRlsP4Day of Atonement: http://youtu.be/x7T2SbNmSbIVisit http://www.dod.org for more Day of Discovery programs.©1997 Our Daily Bread Ministries.
