Turkish leader"s daughter heads secret ISIS hospital

Turkish President Erdogan and daughter Sumeyye Erdogan
A former nurse has revealed she was employed at a secret Turkish hospital used to treat wounded ISIS soldiers near the Syrian border, run by Sumeyye Erdogan, daughter of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The nurse, who did not reveal her name for fear of retaliation, is a member of the Alawite faith, a minority offshoot of Shia Islam, according to an investigative report released by the Montreal-based Center for Research on Globalization.
“I was given a generous salary of $ 7,500, but they were unaware of my religion,” she told investigators. “The fact is that I adhere to the Alawi faith, and since Erdogan took the helm of the country the system shows utter contempt for the Alawi minority,” the nurse added.
She said she was forced out of her position because hospital officials began treating her unfairly when they learned she was a member of the minority sect.
They had no confidence in Alawites, the nurse said.
“No sooner did they become cognizant of my faith than the wave of intimidation began, for I knew many things as who was running the corps, I saw Sumeyye Erdogan frequently at our headquarter in Sanliurfa … I am indeed terrified, I rue the day I enrolled in that program.”
She now lives in hiding in Istanbul with her two children.
“Almost every day several khaki Turkish military trucks were bringing scores of severely injured, shaggy [ISIS] rebels to our secret hospital, and we had to prepare the operating rooms and help doctors in the following procedures.”
Hers is just the latest charge that the Erdogan government is secretly assisting ISIS in its war against Syria’s Assad regime, a charge the administration has repeatedly denied.

Once hailed as a nationalist and secular politician, Erdogan’s 13-year reign has been marked in recent years by increasingly provocative jihadi rhetoric.
WND reported Erdogan has called on his countrymen to refocus on the Ottoman goal of re-conquering Jerusalem for Islam and uniting Shia and Sunni tribes for that same mission.
In a speech that got almost no coverage in the Western media, Erdogan talked about invading and reconquering Jerusalem, according to an article in the Anadolu Agency of Turkey.
“We Muslims lost our aim to head toward Jerusalem,” he told throngs of adoring Turks while in the state of Erzincan in central Turkey, according to a translation by Walid Shoebat. “The water of our eyes froze making us blind, and our hearts that was destined to beat for Jerusalem is now instead conditioned for rivalry being in a state of war with each other.”
Erdogan was in the city to promote numerous service projects, but the speech focused on Jerusalem.
“When you mention the word ascension, the first thing that comes to mind is Jerusalem and al-Aqsa Mosque,” he said, referring to the mosque that sits on the Temple Mount.
Turkey also served as the home base of the 2010 Muslim flotilla that unsuccessfully attempted to break the Israeli naval blockade of Gaza in an incident that resulted in 10 deaths and many wounded on both sides.
Sumeyye Erdogan earlier was subjected to public condemnation by her father’s political opponents when she expressed her intent to go to ISIS-occupied Mosul, Iraq, to do volunteer relief work. Her brother, Bilal Erdogan, is accused of being engaged in the smuggling of Syrian and Iraqi oil, plundered by ISIS to fund its caliphate and military operations.
Bilal owns several maritime companies that control special wharves in the ports of Beirut and Ceyhan, the report alleges, that are used to transport ISIS oil to Asian markets in Japan-owned tankers, resulting in ISIS being the world’s wealthiest terrorist group. One of those companies, BMZ Ltd, is considered an Erdogan-family business and the president’s close relatives hold shares in it.
“President Erdogan claims that according to international transportation conventions there is no legal infraction concerning Bilal’s illicit activities, and his son is doing an ordinary business with the registered Japanese companies, but in fact Bilal Erdogan is up to his neck in complicity with terrorism, but as long as his father holds office he will be immune from any judicial prosecution,” Gürsel Tekin, a senior opposition party official in Ankara charged Tuesday.
Mideast expert Joel Richardson, author of the New York Times bestseller “Mideast Beast: The Scriptural Case for an Islamic Antichrist,” has argued Erdogan’s support for ISIS is particularly cynical, self-serving – using ISIS to prepare the geopolitical groundwork for Turkish control over the entire region.
In his documentary exploring the intentions of the Turkish government “End Times Eyewitness,” Richardson says: “There is a Turkish proverb which says, ‘Show the people death and they will gladly embrace malaria.’ Erdogan is allowing ISIS to do its dirty work in its backyard. He is using them in his war against Assad, the Kurds and Iran. But then the time comes, he will dispose of ISIS, (or allow others to do so) and he will step forward, as a far more appealing caliph.”
In the end, Richardson, whose most recent work is “When a Jew Rules the World: What the Bible Really Says About Israel in the Plan of God,” believes the geopolitics of the end times are unfolding before the eyes of the current generation. And the multifaceted battle between various factions is setting the stage for a larger and potentially far more destructive conflict.

Quiz: Who signed all 4 founding documents?

Roger Sherman
He was the only person to sign all four of America’s founding documents:
- Articles of Association – 1774
- Declaration of Independence – 1776
- Articles of Confederation – 1777
- U.S. Constitution – 1787
Who was he? Roger Sherman.
At age 19, Roger Sherman’s father died and he supported his family as a shoe cobbler, helping his two younger brothers to attend college and become clergymen.
Roger Sherman was a surveyor and merchant, but when a neighbor needed legal advice, he studied to help, only to be inspired to become a lawyer. Roger Sherman was elected a state senator, a judge and a delegate to the Continental Congress.
Roger Sherman was on the Committee to draft the Declaration of Independence, along with Jefferson, Franklin, Adams and Livingston. He is pictured second from the left in John Trumbull’s famous painting which hangs in the Capitol Rotunda.
Roger Sherman helped draft the Articles of Confederation and helped draft the instructions given to an embassy headed to Canada, which stated: “You are further to declare that we hold sacred the rights of conscience, and may promise to the whole people, solemnly in our name, the free and undisturbed exercise of their religion. And … that all civil rights and the right to hold office were to be extended to persons of any Christian denomination.”
On Oct. 17, 1777, when news that British General Burgoyne had surrendered 6,000 British troops to American General Horatio Gates after the Battle of Saratoga, Roger Sherman exclaimed: “This is the Lord’s doing, and marvelous in our eyes!”

Roger Sherman made 138 speeches at the Constitutional Convention. He helped to draft the New Jersey Plan and the Connecticut Compromise, which broke the deadlock between how the large states and small states would be represented in the new government. Patrick Henry described Roger Sherman as one of the three greatest men at the Constitutional Convention.
Roger Sherman is the author of Article 1, Section 10 of the U.S. Constitution: “No State shall … make anything but gold and silver coin a tender in payment of debts.”
In his “Caveat of Injustice,” 1752, Roger Sherman wrote: “Suppose a man comes to a trader’s shop in this colony to buy goods, and the trader sells him a certain quantity of goods and tells him the price is so many pounds, shillings and pence … to be paid at the expiration of one year … but there is nothing said either by seller or buyer, what currency it is to be paid in. … Now I ask: What does the creditor have a right to demand for a debt so contracted? … The debtor says that Bills of Credit on the neighboring governments have for many years passed promiscuously with the Bills of Credit on this colony as money. … And the creditor … says that such Bills of Credit are of no intrinsic value, and their … value is fluctuating and very uncertain, and therefore it would be unjust that any person should be obliged to receive them in payment as money … for money ought to be something of certain value, it being that whereby other things are to be valued. … No government has the right to impose on its subjects any … currency to be received in payments as money which is not of intrinsic value … because in so doing they would oblige men to part with their estates for that which is worth nothing in itself and which they don’t know will ever procure him any thing.”
Roger Sherman helped Connecticut to ratify the U.S. Constitution and was elected to the first session of United States Congress. When the First Amendment was introduced, Roger Sherman thought it was unnecessary, as religion was under each individual states’ jurisdiction.
In 1788, as a member of the White Haven Congregational Church, Roger Sherman was asked to use his expertise in revising the wording of their creed. In his own handwriting, he wrote: “I believe … that the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are a revelation from God, and a complete rule to direct us how we may glorify and enjoy him. … That He made man at first perfectly holy, that the first man sinned, and … all became sinners in consequence … and on account of sin are liable to all the miseries of this life, to death, and to the pains of hell forever.
“I believe that God … did send His own Son to become man, die in the room and stead of sinners and thus to lay a foundation for the offer of pardon and salvation to all mankind, so as all may be saved who are willing to accept the Gospel offer. …”
Elected a U.S. Senator at age 70, Roger Sherman died July 23, 1793. The state of Connecticut placed a statue of Roger Sherman in the U.S. Capitol. His statue is also in the Connecticut state Capitol in Hartford.
Inscribed on Roger Sherman’s tomb is: “He ever adorned the profession of Christianity which he made in youth and … died in the prospect of a blessed immortality.”

Evolution—The Deadly Hoax
The most profound booklet that Herbert Armstrong ever wrote was A World Held Captive. In that booklet he made this statement: “The eyeglasses through which all modern thought is viewed is the theory of evolution.” Most educators go right ahead and teach evolution, which robs man of joy and happiness and real meaning in his life. Cruz confronts White House on illegal-alien crimes
U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, lectured the Obama administration Tuesday about the White House policy on illegal aliens and sanctuary cities, and was joined by Americans who have lost family members to the crimes committed by those who were in U.S. illegally, and even in custody but let go.
At a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing focused on the White House failure to enforce immigration law, Cruz confronted Sarah Saldana, chief of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
“I will note in your opening statement here, you said after listening to the victims’ families, you were so sorry for their losses. And yet the Obama administration keeps doing it,” Cruz said.
“When I asked you how many murderers were released yesterday, you don’t know. There is a reason the American people are upset. If President Obama had the courage of his convictions, he would come and look in the eyes of these men and women who have lost their sons, their daughters, their mothers, their sisters, their brothers, and the administration would stop releasing murderers and rapists.”
He said the Obama administration simply refuses to follow the nation’s law on the issue, and he noted Saldana’s answer during an earlier congressional hearing, when she said, “Amen” to the idea that federal law should force local jurisdictions to follow federal standards for releasing, or detaining, illegal aliens.
Then the next day, she reversed her position.
At the hearing Tuesday, she denied that anyone pressured her to change, and said she was simply emphasizing that “clarity” in the law is important.
Cruz recited statistics revealing that for the 88,000 convictions among criminal illegal aliens released into the public in 2013, 193 were murderers and 426 were convicted of sexual assault.
Cruz said, “There are too many politicians in Washington that talk a good game but don’t act. If you want to honor Josh [Wilkerson], if you want to honor Kate Steinle, start enforcing the law and stop releasing murderers, and rapists, and drunk drivers,” citing two victims of crimes by illegals.
“I don’t want to hear from the Obama administration they’re sorry while they continue to do the exact same thing because what we know – more people will be murdered, more people will be raped, more people will be killed by drunk drivers because this administration refuses to enforce the law.”
Also making a statement at the hearing was Laura Wilkerson, whose son, Josh, of Pearland, Texas, was attacked by an illegal alien.
“This was our family’s 9/11 terrorist attack by a foreign invader, whether you want to recognize it or whether you do not,” she said. “Americans are dying daily at the hands of criminals that we don’t even know are here. … You’re either for Americans, or you’re not.”
Susan Oliver, wife of the late Deputy Sheriff Danny Oliver of Garden Valley, California, added, “I hope that my husband’s death won’t be in vain. I hope that I can be here to make a difference. My life is forever changed and saddened. Please help put policy in place to make sure that criminal immigrants who are in this country illegally are never allowed to dictate the life of a true humanitarian, like my husband Deputy Danny Oliver.”
And they were joined by Jim Steinle, father of Kathryn Steinle, of Pleasanton, California, who was shot and killed at a tourist location while walking beside her father. The attacker was an illegal alien who had been in custody, but was released.
“Unfortunately due to disjointed laws, and basic incompetence on many levels, the U.S. has suffered a self-inflicted wound in the murder of our daughter by the hand of a person that should have never been on the streets of this country,” he said.
WND reported earlier this month that the federal government confirmed some 1,800 illegals released by “sanctuary cities” in 2014 were accused of 7,500 new crimes.
Television and action movie actor Chuck Norris, an exclusive WND columnist, also has weighed in. He recently wrote about the Steinle killing: “Whether one believes the gun was accidentally discharged or not, a seven-time convicted felon and illegal immigrant who had been deported five times was set free by U.S. officials to run the streets of San Francisco.”
He continued, “So, do you know who intentionally made it easier for that seven-time convicted felon and five-time deported illegal to roam the streets of San Francisco? None other than the residing occupant at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, D.C.”
He said the Center for Immigration Studies explains the federal government continues to ignore cities where officials themselves are ignoring federal law.
He wrote, “The CIS explains, ‘Although federal law requires the cooperation, the Department of Justice has never sued or taken any measure, including denying federal funds, against a jurisdiction. On the contrary, the present administration has made it difficult for the states and localities which choose to aid in enforcing immigration laws. Federal law was labeled voluntary by the administration in a November 2014 policy memorandum signed by the Homeland Security Secretary.’”

POW case haunts McCain"s image as war hero

In 1992, then-Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., left, chairman of the Senate Select Committee on POW/MIA Affairs, listens to Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., during a hearing of the committee, which released classified testimony on the Pentagon’s intelligence gathering efforts in Vietnam.
NEW YORK – Though he immediately backtracked, presidential candidate Donald Trump reopened the controversy over Sen. John McCain’s service during the Vietnam War and his subsequent handling of the post-war POW issue by questioning whether the Arizona Republican should be regarded as a hero.
McCain, whose father and grandfather were four-star Navy admirals, has been commended throughout his career in the Senate for enduring five-and-a-half years in the infamous “Hanoi Hilton” prison in North Vietnam.
But various critics, including Pulitzer-Prize winning journalist Sydney H. Schanberg, have charged that McCain, working with fellow Vietnam veteran and then-Sen. John F. Kerry, D-Mass., suppressed information about POWs believed to have been left behind by the U.S. government at the end of the Vietnam War.
In a 2008 article published by the Nation Institute when McCain was the Republican nominee for president, Schanberg wrote that the senator, who had risen to political prominence based on his war-hero image, “has, inexplicably, worked very hard to hide from the public stunning information about American prisoners in Vietnam who, unlike him, didn’t return home.”
“Throughout his Senate career, McCain has quietly sponsored and pushed into federal law a set of prohibitions that keep the most revealing information about these men buried as classified documents,” Schanberg wrote.
“Thus the war hero who people would logically imagine as a determined crusader for the interests of POWs and their families became instead the strange champion of hiding the evidence and closing the books,” he concluded.
On Saturday, after days of trading barbs, Donald Trump said in remarks at the Family Leadership Summit in Ames, Iowa, that McCain is “not a war hero.”
“He was a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren’t captured,” Trump said.
Speaking to reporters afterward, Trump denied saying that McCain isn’t a war hero.
But he said McCain has “done very little for the veterans.”
“I’m very disappointed in John McCain,” Trump said.
13 years in captivity
The case of U.S. Marine Pfc. Robert R. Garwood, while complicated, continues to provide evidence that U.S. POWs were still alive in Southeast Asia, at least through 1979, when Garwood finally returned to the U.S. after more than 13 years captivity.
This is despite repeated claims made by the U.S. government at the time and since that there were no POWS left in Southeast Asia after 591 returned to the U.S. in Operation Homecoming in 1973.
The final report of the House Select Committee on Missing Persons in Southeast Asia on Dec. 13, 1976, spelled out the committee’s conclusion (pages 238-239) that after 15 months of investigation “no Americans are still being held alive as prisoners in Indochina, or elsewhere, as a result of the war in Indochina.”
The House select committee, created as a result of a resolution introduced by Rep. G. V. (Sonny) Montgomery, D-Miss., on March 18, 1975, stressed its agreement with “the national intelligence community statement that there is no reliable evidence that any unaccounted for POWs/MIAs are still being held in Indochina represents a careful, studied assessment of all intelligence information during the past 15 years.”
The Garwood case began Sept. 28, 1965, when the Viet Cong captured the Marine as he wandered from camp near Marble Mountain at China Beach, a short distance from Da Nang.
Radio Hanoi reported at the time that a Viet Cong convoy, after a fierce firefight with a Marine that got lost, took the Marine prisoner.
Garwood, a motor-pool specialist assigned to the 3rd Marine Division, who was 19 years old at the time of his captivity, had only 12 days left on his tour in Vietnam and was looking forward to returning home to California, where he planned to marry his high-school sweetheart from Indiana.
In 1979, after pleading for help in a note passed to a World Bank official in Hanoi, the Vietnamese sent Garwood back to the United States, where the Department of Defense promptly court-martialed him. The U.S. alleged Garwood eventually became a collaborator who went over to the Viet Cong and fought against American troops in Vietnam.
Immediately after his capture by the Viet Cong, Garwood was held in a POW regional detention camp, Camp Khu, northwest of Da Nang, along with two U.S. Army prisoners.
Brutal daily life
As reported by Monika Jensen-Stevenson in her 1997 book, “Spite House: The Last Secret of the War in Vietnam,” on page 92, two South Vietnam Army of the Republic of Viet Nam soldiers held at Camp Khu with Garwood, upon their release in January 1966, brought with them a letter written by Garwood to his mother.
The ARVN soldiers documented the cruelty of the North Vietnamese to the POWS at Camp Khu, as Jensen-Stevenson chronicled:
They [the ARVN soldiers released from Camp Khu] testified to the cruelty of the camp commandant and guards. Daily Life was brutally difficult, they reported. The prisoners had suffered from diseases that resulted from an unfamiliar and inadequate diet. Dysentery, edema, skin fungus, and eczema were rampant. The POWs were moved regularly to avoid detection by American troops. The VC [Viet Cong] guards, they said, were particularly abusive to American POWs. For any minor infraction, including conversation with other POWs, the Americans were buried, held for days in a cage with no protection from insects, deprived of food and water, shackled, and beaten regularly. Those who resisted the most were executed. Usually it was slow death by torture.
Garwood had not been included in a release of prisoners as a gesture to celebrate the Vietnamese new year, Tet, Jansen-Stevenson reported. He had been held as one of the hard-core resisters, despite constant psychological efforts to indoctrinate them.
According to Lt. Col. Gary D. Solis, U.S. Marine Corps History and Museum director, in his 2013 book “Marines and Military Law in Vietnam: Trial by Fire,” Garwood eventually succumbed and asked to join the National Liberation Front.
The allegations against Garwood included charges that he adopted the Vietnamese name Nguyen Chien Dau and fought for the Viet Cong as part of the Military Proselytizing Section of Military Region 5. He allegedly wrote propaganda messages and broadcast them by loudspeaker near Marine bases, and assisted the Viet Cong in guarding and indoctrinating U.S. prisoners in the MR-5 POW camp in the village of Tra Khe, Tra Bong District, Quang Ngai Province.
On Feb. 5, 1981, the court-martial convicted Garwood of communicating with the enemy and assaulting a U.S. POW. He was sentenced to reduction in rank to private, subjected to loss of all pay and allowances, and given a dishonorable discharge.
“Somehow Garwood had become a metaphor for wholesale betrayal,” Jansen Stevenson noted on page 97 of her 1997 book, arguing that the most that could be proved with certainty against Garwood at his court martial was that he had served as a prison guard for the Viet Cong and struck a U.S. POW in the face.
“After 1975, Garwood’s captors repeatedly took pains to drum it into him that the U.S. government had officially taken the position that no American prisoners were left behind,” Jansen-Stevenson noted on page 229. “Garwood did not want to believe this even though a statement made in 1973 to the media by National Security Advisor Henry Kissinger, that all American prisoners had been returned, was played over the camp loudspeaker.”
No one imagined he would walk out alive
In 1981, this reporter was recruited to serve on a task force headed by Dallas-based psychiatrist David Hubbard, an expert in skyjacking, political violence and terrorism. The panel was organized under the auspices of the U.S. Agency for International Development to train U.S. State Department staff stationed in dangerous assignments overseas how to survive hostage situations such as had occurred in 1979 with U.S. Embassy personnel in Tehran held hostage for 444 days following the Iranian revolution led by Ayatollah Khomeini.
After receiving top-secret clearance through the auspices of USAID, this reporter assisted Hubbard in conducting a series of videotaped debriefing interviews with Garwood.
“No one in the State Department or Pentagon ever imagined Garwood would walk out of Vietnam alive,” Hubbard concluded, “even though there were many reports prior to 1979 that he was living in Vietnam as one of the Vietnamese people.”
In the intensive psychological interviews conducted by Hubbard, Garwood revealed that his decision to “go over to the Vietnamese” was made to survive.
“When you are in a cage where you can’t stand up or sit down and you are being led through villages where the North Vietnamese are poking sticks at your vital parts and accusing you of being a murderer, you quickly realize your survival chances aren’t very good,” Garwood explained.
“So what I decided to do was to listen until I could pick up a few basic words in Vietnamese, so I could ask for a drink of water, or say thank you for some kindness done to me,” he said. “I soon realized that nobody was going to come to save me, that I was abandoned, and that to survive I had to start speaking Vietnamese, adapting, otherwise my chances as an enemy captive were pretty dim at best.”
Hubbard produced three major conclusions based on taped interviews and a psychiatric evaluation: 1) Garwood, properly understood, was a survivor, not an enemy collaborator; 2) rigid U.S. military codes regarding POW conduct needed to be modified to take into consideration that all human beings have a breaking point, including U.S. soldiers captured in combat; and 3) dozens and very possibly hundreds of other American POWs abandoned in Southeast Asia had survived, as had Garwood, by assimilating into Vietnamese society after realizing there was little chance they would ever see the United States again.
‘Keeping the truth buried’
Schanberg severely criticizes McCain for introducing legislation that became law in 1991 that was “so crushing to transparency,” it “actually spells out for the Pentagon and other agencies several rationales, scenarios and justifications for not releasing any information at all – even about prisoners discovered alive in captivity.”
The passage of the legislation was a prelude to the creation of the Senate Select Committee on POW/MIA Affairs in 1991 in which, Schanberg charges, “Kerry and McCain ultimately worked to bury evidence.”
Schanberg points to the testimony of Richard V. Allen, former national security adviser to President Reagan, before the Senate Select Committee on POW/MIA Affairs as providing the explanation for why McCain, Kerry and U.S. presidents since Richard Nixon have been motivated to keep hidden from the American public evidence about the number of POWs that were left behind in Southeast Asia at the end of the Vietnam War.
In closed-door testimony before the Senate Select Committee, Allen described an offer from Vietnam to the Reagan administration, transmitted through a third country, “to exchange live POWs for $ 4.5 billion.”
Although Allen later recanted that testimony, Schanberg noted the Senate Select Committee staff was in revolt when, led by Kerry and McCain, it refused to release a finding that U.S. intelligence reports marked “credible” reported POW sightings in Vietnam through 1989, leading to the conclusion the committee refused to report: “There can be no doubt that POWs were alive … as late as 1989.”
Schanberg observed that Allen’s initial testimony had the ring of truth, because when the French were defeated at Dien Bien Phu in 1954 and withdrew their troops from Vietnam, France for years afterward paid ransoms for prisoners to bring them back home.
Finally, Schanberg cited a theme regarding McCain’s “war hero status” that has been echoed again in the current controversy with Trump.
“Washington said no prisoners were left behind, and Hanoi swore it had returned all of them,” Schanberg wrote in conclusion. “How could either side later admit it had lied?
“Time went by and as neither side budged, telling the truth became even more difficult and remote,” he continued. “The public would realize that Washington knew of the abandoned men all along. The truth, after men had been languishing in foul prison cells, could get people impeached or thrown in jail.
“Which brings us to today, when the Republican candidate for President is the contemporaneous politician most responsible for keeping the truth about this matter hidden,” Schanberg observed in 2008. “Yet he says he’s the right man to be the Commander-in-Chief, and his credibility in making this claim is largely based on his image as a POW hero.”
Expressing his desire to question candidate McCain on the issue, Schanberg closed with the following argument.
“On page 468 of the 1,221-page [Senate Select Committee] report, McCain parsed his POW position oddly: ‘We found no compelling evidence to prove that Americans are alive in captivity today. There is some evidence—though no proof—to suggest only the possibility that a few Americans may have been kept behind after the end of America’s military involvement in Vietnam,’” Schanberg wrote.
“Evidence though no proof,” Schanberg reiterated for effect. “Clearly, no one could meet McCain’s standard of proof as long as he is leading a government crusade to keep the truth buried.”

People behind the Scopes Monkey Trial

Scopes Monkey Trial
The Scopes Monkey Trial in 1925 pitted evolution against creation.
Clarence Darrow defended evolution. Darrow previously defended Leopold and Loeb, the homosexual teenage thrill killers who murdered 14-year-old Robert “Bobby” Franks in 1924 just for the excitement. Darrow obtained a pardon for anarchists in 1886 who blew up a pipe bomb in Chicago’s Haymarket Square which killed seven policemen and injured 60 others.
Darrow defended the “mentally deranged drifter” Patrick Eugene Prendergast in 1894 who confessed to murdering Chicago mayor Carter H. Harrison Sr. He defended Eugene v. Debs, the American Railway Union leader who was prosecuted for instigating the destructive Pullman Railroad strike. He also represented the Western Federation of Miners leaders charged with the 1905 murder of former Idaho Gov. Frank Steunenberg.
In 1911, the American Federation of Labor arranged for Darrow to defend the McNamara brothers. The McNamara brother were charged with dynamiting the Los Angeles Times building which killed 21 employees. Implicated in bribing jurors, Darrow was banned from practicing law in California.
In 1925, Darrow defended John Scopes, a Tennessee high school biology teacher who taught the theory of origins called “evolution.” The Scopes Monkey Trial ended July 21, 1925.
The attorney defending creation was the Democrat Party’s three-time candidate for president, William Jennings Bryan. Bryan objected to a tooth being presented as proof of humans evolving from apes. Later the tooth was found to be that of an extinct pig.
William Jennings Bryan was a colonel in the Spanish-American War, a U.S. Representative from Nebraska and the U.S. Secretary of State under Democrat President Woodrow Wilson. Bryan edited the Omaha World Herald and founded The Commoner newspaper.
Dying five days after the Scopes Trial, William Jennings Bryan was so popular that his statue was placed in the U.S. Capitol’s Statuary Hall by the state of Nebraska.

Bryan gave over 600 public speeches during his presidential campaigns, with his most famous being “The Prince of Peace,” printed in the New York Times, Sept. 7, 1913, in which he stated: “I am interested in the science of government but I am more interested in religion. … I enjoy making a political speech … but I would rather speak on religion than on politics. I commenced speaking on the stump when I was only twenty, but I commenced speaking in the church six years earlier – and I shall be in the church even after I am out of politics. …”
Bryan reasoned: “Tolstoy … declares that the religious sentiment rests not upon a superstitious fear … but upon man’s consciousness of his finiteness amid an infinite universe. … Man feels the weight of his sins and looks for One who is sinless. Religion has been defined by Tolstoy as the relation which man fixes between himself and his God. … Religion is the foundation of morality in the individual and in the group of individuals. …”
Bryan added: “A religion which teaches personal responsibility to God gives strength to morality. There is a powerful restraining influence in the belief that an all-seeing eye scrutinizes every thought and word and act of the individual. … One needs the inner strength which comes with the conscious presence of a personal God. …”
Bryan stated further: “I passed through a period of skepticism when I was in college. … The college days cover the dangerous period in the young man’s life; he is just coming into possession of his powers, and feels stronger than he ever feels afterward – and he thinks he knows more than he ever does know. It was at this period that I became confused by the different theories of creation.
“But I examined these theories and found that they all assumed something to begin with. … A Designer back of the design – a Creator back of the creation; and no matter how long you draw out the process of creation, so long as God stands back of it you cannot shake my faith in Jehovah. … We must begin with something – we must start somewhere – and the Christian begins with God. …”
Bryan continued: “While you may trace your ancestry back to the monkey … you shall not connect me with your family tree. … The ape, according to this theory, is older than man and yet the ape is still an ape while man is the author of the marvelous civilization which we see about us. … This theory … does not explain the origin of life. When the follower of Darwin has traced the germ of life back to the lowest form … to follow him one must exercise more faith than religion calls for. …”
Bryan explained: “Those who reject the idea of creation are divided into two schools, some believing that the first germ of life came from another planet and others holding that it was the result of spontaneous generation. … Go back as far as we may, we cannot escape from the creative act, and it is just as easy for me to believe that God created man as he is as to believe that, millions of years ago, He created a germ of life and endowed it with power to develop. …”
Bryan added: “But there is another objection. The Darwinian theory represents man as reaching his present perfection by the operation of the law of hate – the merciless law by which the strong crowd out and kill off the weak. … I prefer to believe that love rather than hatred is the law of development…”
William Jennings Bryan concluded: “Science has disclosed some of the machinery of the universe, but science has not yet revealed to us the great secret – the secret of life. … If the Father deigns to touch with divine power the cold and pulseless heart of the buried acorn and to make it burst forth from its prison walls, will he leave neglected in the earth the soul of man, made in the image of his Creator? … The Gospel of the Prince of Peace gives us the only hope that the world has.”

Famous Muslim cleric: No sanctity in Islam for Obama"s life

Anjem Choudary
During an American radio interview Sunday, radical British Islamist preacher Anjem Choudary spoke about whether the recent attack on two military facilities in Tennessee was justified according to Islamic Shariah law.
“One has to have a look at this from the perspective of the reality which is seen coming upon us today in the world, which is the fact that we have an Islamic state,” said Choudary. “You have Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, who is the Caliph, and of course the order has come from him to attack the interests and the personnel and in particular the army of those countries who are at war, in particular America and Britain and France and others. We’ve seen this before in France, and we’ve seen this in Tunisia, and now we see this in Tennessee. I think that this is inevitable.”
Choudary, founder of the outlawed Al Muhajiroun British pro-terrorist organization, was being interviewed for “Aaron Klein Investigative Radio,” broadcast on New York’s AM 970 The Answer and Philadelphia’s NewsTalk 990 AM and online.
“Definitely there is a cause and effect taking place here,” said Choudary regarding the Tennessee attacks, “in return for the drone attacks and the occupation of Muslim land in Syria and Iraq. These are the repercussions that we will increasingly see in the West. I don’t think this should surprise anyone. As you well know, the American establishment is engaged in a war, they are openly hostile toward Islam and Muslims. This is not an unusual phenomenon, and indeed I think that 9-11 was a milestone between the Muslim world and the West, and since then we’ve seen many of these instances. This is just the latest in this quagmire and cycle of violence in which we find ourselves.”
Klein asked whether such attacks are allowed according to Islamic Shariah law, and whether according to the Quran the shooter could go to heaven or not?
“The prominent juristic opinion in relation to this is that there is no sanctity for the lives of those people who are launching attacks against the Muslims,” replied Choudary, “so they do not distinguish between Barack Obama and the civilians who put him in position of authority, and in particular those military personnel who are coming and firing at Muslims and occupying Muslim lands. … If they can target the civilians according to rules of jihad, defending themselves and bringing the war to their enemies, then definitely the army personnel have even less sanctity.”
“Let’s say America withdrew from Iraq or Afghanistan,” pursued Klein. “Let’s say America wasn’t involved in any war. What then? Would the Islamic State be at peace with the U.S., or will the Islamic State only be at peace after the U.S. bowed to Islam and accepted Islamic Shariah law?”
“Well I think definitely the only endgame is one day we would want the Shariah to be in command even in America and in Britain and in China and in Russia and everywhere else,” replied Choudary. “But in the meantime the things we should (inaudible) including the withdrawal of the Jewish occupation in Palestine, the support of the dictators and tyrants in the Muslim world, the pumping out of their own propaganda and the ideology by either the internet and Hollywood, etc. There’s quite a few things I think need to be done for there to be some kind of treaty or some kind of normal relationship. But definitely these things won’t work forever, because ultimately the Muslims believe that we need to propagate Islam. I think ambassadors will be sent to these countries to teach them about Islam as an alternative and eventually I believe the Shariah will be in command. But in the meantime I think there could be some treaty that could mean cease fire.”

Contempt citation looming for DoD, CIA?

A famed Washington watchdog attorney is asking the Department of Defense and Central Intelligence Agency to explain why it should not be held in contempt for failing to follow court instructions in a case over the helicopter crash that killed 30 Americans, including members of the Navy SEALs unit that killed Osama bin Laden.
WND reported in 2014 Larry Klayman of Freedom Watch is representing the parents of some of the servicemen who were killed in Afghanistan Aug. 6, 2011, when a Chinook helicopter with the call sign Extortion 17 was shot down near Kabul. The parents believe there’s evidence their sons were sold out by Afghan turncoats who set up a Taliban ambush, while the Pentagon insists they were victims of a lucky shot with a rocket-propelled grenade.
The victims were 25 American special ops fighters and five Army National Guard and Reserve crew members, along with seven Afghan commandos and one Afghan interpreter.
The attack happened only a short time after Vice President Joe Biden revealed to the world that it was SEAL Team 6 that killed bin Laden.
The Extortion 17 attack is considered the worst single loss of U.S. military life in the Afghanistan campaign.
Klayman’s current complaint seeks information from several federal agencies, including the National Security Agency.
The lawsuit alleges the defendants “have failed to make bona fide, good faith determinations about whether they will comply with plaintiff’s requests.”
In the newest filing before U.S. District Judge Richard Leon, Klayman points out that the defendants have failed to follow the court’s schedule for production of information, and now they are not even meeting the deadlines they set themselves.
“As predicted, defendants having previously violated this court’s order of Feb. 15, 2015, have now violated their own unilaterally imposed deadline which arrogantly gave themselves until June 30, 2015 to product documents,” Klayman wrote to the court this week.
“As this court must be aware, this is not an ordinary Freedom of Information Act case, it involves obtaining records concerning the deaths of Navy SEAL Team 6 and other special operations forces on a mission with the call sign ‘Extortion 17.’ The families of these deceased heroes have been stonewalled by the Obama Department of Defense and the Obama National Security Agency in disrespect over their sons’ unexplained tragic deaths.
“Many of these family members are undergoing psychological care over what has become a double tragedy: the deaths of their sons and the cover-up for which these family members feel betrayed by their own government,” he wrote.
Klayman’s submission to the court notes that the court issued an order in February regarding the production of information.
The defendants in the case so far have released one document, in March, the federal government said in a report to the court two months ago.
Klayman previously brought to the attention of the court the government’s decision not to follow the court’s orders regarding the production of records, when the government not only missed a deadline but didn’t even seek to have the order modified.
The court’s original schedule was to have the DoD and CIA release the pertinent records in stages, on March 20, April 3 and April 20.
The original request sought, among other things, details about the decision “to invite a Muslim cleric to pray at the ramp ceremony in Afghanistan for the … U.S. servicemen.”
Also, there are questions about the “missing” black box, the seven Afghani military members who were scheduled to be on the flight, but weren’t, and the seven Afghanis who replaced them.
Earlier, Klayman said it’s always been hard to get information from the government.
“This is because the attitude of government agencies in the executive branch – typically Congress has exempted itself from FOIA as it does not consider itself accountable to anyone – has always been, in Hamiltonian fashion, that ‘the people are a great beast’ and either do not deserve to be informed or do not have a say in governance, as they are inherently less able or intelligent,” he said then.
But he said Obama has taken the position to a new level.
“As a result, various public interest groups, the media and the citizenry in general have been stymied from learning the full truth about the myriad of scandals rocking the Obama administration, everything from IRS-gate, to Benghazi-gate, to Fast and Furious-gate, and Extortion 17-gate, where 17 Navy SEALS (including some who went on the mission that killed Osama Bin Laden), five other special ops forces and eight other servicemen died at the hands of the Taliban in a raid that some observers, like myself who represents some of the families of our heroes, feel was possibly compromised not just by the corrupt Afghani government that is infiltrated with Muslim terrorists but perhaps within our own government, including military brass,” he wrote.
“We filed another lawsuit seeking to have the NSA and CIA cough up the records concerning Extortion 17. Yet, the Pentagon claims not to have and will thus not produce,” he said then. “My colleagues and I at Freedom Watch will not rest and will use all legal means to learn the truth about the downing of Extortion 17, as we owe a duty not just to the surviving family members we represent, but to other servicemen who are sent into wars only to be compromised by our president and his lackeys in the Defense Department.”
The wrongful death lawsuit seeks more than $ 600 million in damages from the Taliban, al-Qaida, Iran, Afghanistan and others for the deaths of members of the U.S. military’s SEAL Team 6.
The case alleges racketeering, terrorism and murder. It charges the terror groups are liable under America’s Anti-Terrorism Act for harboring or concealing terrorists, providing material support to a terror organization, wrongful death and more.
The case traces back to Feb. 23, 1998, when the “terrorist organization Defendant Taliban, in concert with the terrorist organization Defendant al-Qaida, led by master terrorist leader Osama bin Laden, issued a fatwah (religious decree), dictating to all Muslim people to kill Americans and their allies – civilians and military – declaring that the slaying of Americans is an individual duty for every Muslim.”
Bin Laden declared: “We – with God’s help – call on every Muslim who believes in God and wishes to be rewarded to comply with God’s order to kill the Americans and plunder their money wherever and whenever they find it.”
The case ties the declaration to the deaths of Michael Strange, a National Security Agency cryptologist for SEAL Team 6; Patrick Hamburger, an Army National Guard member; and John Douangdara, a Petty Officer 1st Class, in support of SEAL Team 6. Family members and survivors Charles and Mary Strange, Douglas and Shaune Hamburger and Phouthasith Douangdara are suing.
The defendants are accused of “violating plaintiffs’ and decedents’ rights, for engaging in racketeering and other prohibited activities, for engaging in international terrorism, for harboring and concealing terrorists, for providing material support to terrorists and terrorist groups, for directly and proximately causing the deaths of plaintiffs’ decedents, and for directly and proximately causing mental anguish, severe emotional distress, emotional pain and suffering, and the loss of society, earnings, companionship, comfort, protecting, care, attention, advice, counsel or guidance.”
The full list of defendants is the Islamic Republic of Iran, former President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Hoseyni Khamenei, the Guardians of the Islamic Revolution, Afghanistan, President Hamid Karzai, the Afghan Operational Coordination Group, the Khasa Amalyati Qeta, Afghan National Security Forces, the Taliban and al-Qaida.
It was a raid by Navy SEAL Team 6 that resulted in the killing of bin Laden on May 2, 2011, and made the service members and their families “a target for retaliatory attacks.” But the danger was relatively low because they hadn’t been identified.
However, the lawsuit explains, Biden “intentionally released the name” of SEAL Team 6 to the world, prompting a horrified Secretary of Defense Robert Gates to explode: “Why doesn’t everybody just shut the —- up?”
Only weeks later, the Taliban “shot down a U.S. Boeing CH-47D Chinook military helicopter, call sign Extortion 17 … killing 30 Americans.”

Red heifers in Israel prompt 3rd Temple speculation

The altar and sacred vessels have been reconstructed. The architectural plans are being drawn up. Now a group is taking another step toward fulfilling the biblical prophecy of a restored Temple by raising a group of red heifers in the land of Israel.
And evangelical Christian leaders are divided about what it means if the Third Temple, prophesied to play a key role in the end times, can actually be constructed in Jerusalem.
Before the Temple can rise, builders must secure a red heifer, or “para aduma,” a three-year-old female cow with totally red hair that is supposed to be able to restore a state of “purity” after ritual slaughter.
The Temple Institute, an Israeli organization dedicated to constructing the Third Temple, has launched a fundraising campaign on Indiegogo to breed such animals and has already succeeded in accumulating almost $ 15,000 in three days. The group’s previous campaign in 2014 succeeded in raising more than $ 100,000 to pay for the creation of construction plans that meet both architectural and Scriptural standards.
The group admits red heifers are not uncommon around the world, but claims a “para aduma” suitable for ritual use actually must be raised in Israel and meet painstaking specifications laid out in Scripture.
Therefore, instead of simply waiting for the appearance of a red heifer, the Temple Institute “has joined forces with an experienced cattle rancher” to use modern science to breed cows that meet the requirements.
See the Institute’s plans:
Eventually, the cows will be used ritually as part of a “purification” process. The group further plans to train priests in the proper ritual use of the red heifers, identifying and selecting descendants of the “priestly tribe of Aaron” who are qualified to prepare the animals, and undertaking the “documentation and provision of the precise location on the Mount of Olives for the heifer’s preparation.”
However, the group may find more trouble when it comes to actually rebuilding the Temple itself. The Temple Mount is currently administered by the Jerusalem Islamic Waqf, and the Al-Asqa Mosque occupies the site of the Temple Mount.
Battles over access to the mosque and attempts by religious Jews to visit the site are also a continuing source of controversy. Still, the Temple Institute is ultimately hopeful about literally rebuilding the “Holy Temple.”
Joel Richardson, a filmmaker, evangelist, and New York Times bestselling author of “The Islamic Antichrist: The Shocking Truth About The Real Nature of the Beast,” warns the Third Temple is not an easy subject for those who believe in Jesus.
“The issue of the Third Temple is always a controversial matter among evangelical Christians. Some say that after the sacrifice of Messiah Jesus, it is a great offense to God to engage in any further sacrifices. Indeed, the Book of Hebrews says that the sacrifice of Jesus was ‘once and for all.’”
But Richardson, most recently the author of “When a Jew Rules the World: What the Bible Really Says About Israel in the Plan of God,” observes that some “point out that Paul the apostle and the other early believers continued to engage in the ritual temple sacrificial system. One thing is for sure, the Temple will be rebuilt in the days ahead. The Scriptures are quite clear about this.”
Richardson says, “Eventually, we are told that the man the Bible refers to as the Antichrist will invade the city of Jerusalem and set himself up in the temple in what is called ‘the abomination that causes desolation.’”
For that reason, Richardson argues, many Christians assume the forthcoming Temple will be “an inherently bad thing.”
However, Richardson contends: “The problem with this is the Scriptures refer to the abomination as taking place in ‘God’s Temple,’ thus inferring that it is not viewed negatively by God Himself. One cannot, after all, desecrate something that this not sacred in the first place.”
Pastor Mark Biltz of El Shaddai Ministries, the discoverer of the “Blood Moons” phenomenon, believes the Temple Institute faces formidable hurdles when it comes to executing the ritual correctly. Nonetheless, he was enthusiastic about plans to rebuild the Temple.
“I am all for a rebuilding of the Temple and believe the desire to rebuild proves we are living in the times of the Messiah,” said Biltz, the author of “Blood Moons: Decoding the Imminent Heavenly Signs.”
He said, “The importance of the effort [to breed the red heifers] is critical as it is necessary for acquiring the purification necessary for the priests to work within the Temple. It is a sign that man wants a connection to the Creator of the Universe and desires His Presence.”
Yet not all Christians agree the Third Temple will be literally constructed in Jerusalem.
Carl Gallups, a pastor, talk-show host and author of “Final Warning: Understanding the Trumpet Days of Revelation,” says evangelical Christians are divided. While acknowledging many believe Scripture refers to a literal structure when it says the “Temple,” Gallups says there is another school of thought.
“There are others, including many of the classical and highly respected Christian commentators who declare this ‘temple’ is none other than the Christian church (the temple being built with ‘living stones’) of the last days,” Gallups says.
If this argument is true, Gallups claims, it means the Antichrist will “be one who, using his demonically deceptive power, will set himself up as a ruler claiming the authority of God over the church, attempting to direct the affairs of all of last days Christendom.”
While Gallups says there is “strong” biblical evidence for both positions, if the second position is true, “then there is no necessity for a literal Jewish Temple to be rebuilt in order for end time prophecy to reach its ultimate fulfillment.”
Furthermore, Gallups believes there is some evidence to believe the “Temple of God” is already being occupied by forces of the Antichrist – in this case, by a mosque.
“As I elucidate in “Final Warning, there are also those who point to the current Islamic Dome of the Rock as an undeniable and literal fulfillment of the ‘abomination of desolation’ currently standing in the ‘holy place.’ They would also point out that the undeniable ‘spirit’ of Antichrist is attached to the whole of the Islamic message, especially as it relates to the biblical Jesus. Furthermore, they would say, its demonic influence continues to wreak destruction and spread its influence throughout the world in our own historical time frame.”
Richardson argues one of the most important element of all of this is the central purpose of the Temple after the return of Jesus Christ.
“Rising far above all these controversies, is the fact that during the millennial reign of Jesus the Messiah, yet another temple will indeed be rebuilt. And even with Jesus ruling and reigning here on the earth, sacrifices and offerings will continue to take place.”
Yet the fierce debate over the Third Temple and its importance for the contemporary world does not detract from a shared sense among many commentators of prophecy being realized in the modern world. Noting what he sees as the rise of global immorality, ominous signs of war in the Middle East, and the return of the state of Israel, Gallups enthuses, “The solid signs of Jesus’ soon return are all around us.”
And Richardson believes Christians are going to be forced to confront their deepest held beliefs about the end times sooner rather than later.
“If the Christian church seems divided now, imagine the great controversy in the days ahead when the third Jewish Temple is rebuilt. Those days are indeed coming and coming quickly.”
